    Skateboards

    Carver USA

The Channel Isands Flyer designed by Al Merrick now in skateboard form is a great way to improve your speed generation by pumping, increase arm movements during manoeuvres and body positioning on land to simulate surfing. This board gives the skater the ability to generate speed even up hill and is loose for sharp turns. Performs like a snappy thruster/quad.

    SmoothStar

SmoothStar is well known by most Australian surfers as one of the best training products outside the water. This skateboard replicates the feel of surfing because the front truck is fitted with a special device that emphasises turning the way a surfboard would. This device is called the thruster and makes the front of the board loose, so the board turns and drives off the back trucks.

The thruster is made of a spring surrounded by aluminium casing that provides the resistance and reaction to a riders turning movements, much like a wave would to a surfers board. A combination of the springs tension and inside steel bearings provide smooth rail to rail transitions. This allows the rider to compress and extend to generate speed just as you would on a wave, negating the need to push off using your foot.

    Z-Flex

Z-Flex skateboards have been around for a while, continually innovating in design. The Skull and Bones Z-Flex deck shape was influenced by the 1980s 31" in length, 9.75" in width with attributes of an aggressive street cruiser. Smooth and agile on the road.

    Surfstik Carver

Carveboard USA have a full range of skateboards for all different surfers, styles and varied decks. One of their most prominent though is the Surfstik. It rides like a high performance surfboard helping a surfer to work on generating speed and timing. The wheels are set far apart and the trucks wider than the board making it easier even for beginners to ride. A board to train your surfing.

    Longboard

A longer skateboard that is often faster due to bigger wheels for cruising, downhill racing and sliding. The cruiser style longboards have higher trucks that help to simulate surfing when turning the board. Bushings on these skateboards are much more flexible which provides the rider with the ability to carve and manoeuvre more efficiently.

Skateboards can provide a great training simulation to surfing outside the water. For those days when it's too small to surf you can still practice your skills. There are various skateboards that work in different ways to allow you to carve like you would on a wave, learn how to generate speed, practice compression and work on timing.
